Sunday School

The men's Sunday school class meets weekly at 9:15 a.m. They have studied Loving Your Wife by Jack & Cynthia Heald and The Jesus I Never Knew by Philip Yancey.  The men's class is currently engaged in a study of the book of Exodus.

Promise Keepers

Men from First Baptist have been a part of Promise Keepers meetings in the past, and will continue to be in the future.  While we are not scheduled to attend a Promise Keepers event this autumn, it is probable that a group will attend an event in 2009.  For information on the ministry, or for conference schedules, log on to promisekeepers.org

Iron Man Meetings

"As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."  Proverbs 27:17

An informal gathering for prayer and fellowship. Meeting on Thursday evenings every other week. Please check the Sunday bulletin or call the office for scheduled dates.  In addition to meeting for fellowship, the Iron Men do service projects for people inside and outside of the church in order to encourage others and glorify Christ.

Hunter's Field Day

The Hunter's Field Day is part of the church's effort to connect in the community in which it aims to serve.  After more than 10 years of spring Hunter's Assemblies, we did not have an Assembly in the spring of 2008.  We held a marriage seminar for couples in April of 2008.  We held our first Hunter's Field Day at Harvest Home Farm in September of 2008.  The interactive nature of the Field Day, with trap shooting, wrist rockets, a youth bow range, and a 3D archery range was fantastic.  The Hunter's Field Day will be an annual event, held every September, with a primary goal of reaching out to the men of the community and a secondary goal of reaching out to their families.
